That’s why we are thrilled to announce the Springfield Chamber Chorus Composition Contest, an opportunity for composers to have their music performed by one of Missouri’s premier choral ensembles.

This contest seeks to highlight fresh, innovative choral compositions that inspire both singers and audiences alike. The winning composition will be performed by Springfield Chamber Chorus in an upcoming concert, and the selected composer will receive a cash prize along with recognition on our website and social media platforms.

Who Can Enter?

The contest is open to composers of all experience levels, from students to professionals. We encourage submissions that reflect a unique voice, compelling musical ideas, and a deep understanding of choral writing.

Submission Guidelines

• Compositions should be original, unpublished works for chamber choir (SATB).
• Submissions must be received by April 15, 2025.
• Works may be a cappella or include limited accompaniment.
