Tenors

Brad Groves has been a member of the Springfield Chamber Chorus since its second season, and has had the privilege of being section leader and music librarian for the ensemble. He attended Missouri State University as an instrumental music major and pursued massage therapy thereafter. In his spare time, Brads enjoys kayaking and hiking.


Brant Jester has been singing with the Springfield Chamber Chorus since 2017. He graduated from Ozark High School, and currently studies jazz piano performance at Missouri State University. He is the pianist for the Missouri Jazz Orchestra and his jazz trio, the Haüs Jazz Quartet. Brant remains busy as an accompanist across the greater Springfield area, teaches piano privately, and is also the piano instructor at Hoover Music Company. Brant is a composer and arranger and enjoys writing for jazz and choral ensembles. He enjoys playing both classical and jazz music.


An Army veteran, Jonathan Parker has been passionate about singing since the age of ten. Jonathan is currently teaching music in the Springfield Public School system. In his spare time, he also enjoys baseball and spending time with his family and his puppies. This is Jonathan’s second season with the Springfield Chamber Chorus.


Dan Scott is in his sixth year with SCC. He began singing as a senior in high school, and continued in college with the KU Men’s Glee Club. He has performed in North America, Europe and Asia while touring with The Messiah Project. Dan has also performed in the Springfield Little Theater productions of South Pacific, Music Man, and Fiddler on the Roof.


Zachary Stelzer is currently in his third year as the Associate Choir Director at Reed Academy Middle School in Springfield, MO. After earning his bachelor’s degree in Music Education from William Jewell College in 2017, Zachary moved to Springfield and began working within multiple ensembles throughout the community, including the Springfield Chamber Chorus, MSU Gospel Choir, University Heights Chancel Choir, and the Show-Me Statesmen Chorus. Zachary is an Eagle Scout (2012) and when not singing with ensembles, Zachary spends his summers as the Aquatics Director for the Lake of the Ozarks Scout Reservation (2010-Present). 


Ethan Sykes is in his second season the Springfield Chamber Chorus. Ethan has been a member of the Milwaukee Master Singers and a member of the Missouri State Concert Chorale. He has performed in multiple venues across the world, including New York, Paris, Austria, Washington D.C., and Germany. He is currently the webs designer for Springfield Chamber Chorus. He loves musicals, and takes every chance he can to belt out a good tune in or out of the car.


Shawn Vomund graduated from Missouri State University in 2017 and is currently teaching band and choir in the Fordland school district. Shawn has been a member of Springfield Chamber Chorus since 2016 and is happy to serve the ensemble as the tenor section leader. Outside of work, Shawn serves on the music staff at University Heights Baptist Church, performs with the Missouri State University Community Band, and plays clarinet in The Brandon Street Stompers Dixieland Band.
